Galerie Arts d'Australie Stéphane Jacob

Founded in 1996 in Paris by Stéphane Jacob-Langevin, Arts d’Australie • Stéphane Jacob is one of the first French galleries entirely dedicated to Aboriginal art and Australian Western art. Originally located in an intimate apartment, it offers a welcoming space where enthusiasts and collectors can discover Aboriginal creations through presentation evenings. The gallery represents a wide variety of artists from all regions of Australia, helping to promote the recognition of this ancestral and contemporary art in a privileged setting.

Since 2022, the gallery has strengthened its visibility by moving to the Marais, in the heart of Paris. Stéphane Jacob-Langevin is recognized in Europe as an expert in Aboriginal art, collaborating with prestigious museums such as the Musée des Confluences in Lyon, Les Abattoirs in Toulouse, the MEG in Geneva, and the Quai Branly in Paris to enrich their collections. He has also curated thematic exhibitions, such as “Australia: Defending the Oceans…”, first presented in Monaco and then in thirteen institutions, including the United Nations. The gallery also publishes reference books on Aboriginal art and monographs of artists.
