Biography

Jillian Stockman Nungurrayi is from Mt Wedge in the Central Desert and is part of the Anmatjera. She is the daughter of Billy Stockman Tjapalltjarri, an iconic Papunya artist and is considered one of the earliest exponents of Aboriginal art. In her works, she evokes her representation of the dream associated with the Rainbow Serpent and the vegetation of the Australian bush with the traditional technique of pointillism. The large formats of his works open the work to infinity.
