Biography

Born in 1960, Lady Gordon Napanangka is an Aboriginal artist from Balgo Hills in the Kimberley region. She belongs to the Kukatja language group. Lady Gordon paints her father's country, Minna Minna. Minna Minna is situated to the south of Balgo Hills, near Lappi Lappi, and is a large salt lake that is an important meeting place for people from all over the region. His colourful palette, with its use of pointillism, allows him to depict his territory with great sensitivity.
