Biography

Marlette Napurrurla Ross was born in 1964 and comes from the Yuendumu community. Marlette's work is associated with various bush animals and plants, including Ngarlajiyi, Yarla, Mininypa (native fuchsia) and Jardiwarnpa (fire snake). In 2000, she was shortlisted for the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Award, Australia's most prestigious art prize.
