Biography

Nandabitta often paints giant birds, sawfish, stingrays and legends of hunting or fishing. Like most paintings from the region, the majority of his works have a black background. These works are representations of traditional legends or songs that explain the creation of the territory. Nandabitta likes to use all surfaces of the bark for drawing. He often framed his later works with parallel lines of pigment. When painting the figurative outline, he uses a solid color line, but the fill is dashes or even hatching. The story told is that of the creation of the rivers and the geographical features of the country.
