Circumcision rituals are still practised, particularly in the north-east of Arnhem Land (Northern Territory state). The blade is made of flint, the handle of spinifex resin (a desert cactus whose roots are ground to extract a paste that hardens as it dries), and the sheath of eucalyptus bark (Paperbark Tree).
