Gima Guun is a traditional term for both the dogs used to hunt wild boar and the smell of the boar itself.
The inhabitants of the island of Badu use packs of eight to ten dogs, which sometimes spend hours searching for wild boar. When one of them suddenly runs off, it means it has scented a wild boar. It is this precise moment that the artist captures in his print.
