Kay Baker is a member of the Tjungu Palya community, not far from Uluru in the north of South Australia. This painting perfectly illustrates the artist's strong link with the myths of her people, which she expresses in a powerful style. Here it is a Dream of great importance to her people that she represents: Malilu was a crippled old woman who depended on her two daughters to bring her food. One day, they met some men and left. The old woman desperately searched for them in the desert. Malilu's desperate search for her daughters across her territory is symbolised by the wavy lines.
