Originally from Yuendumu in the Central Desert, the artist evokes the Dreaming (Jukurrpa) of Water (Ngapa) linked to a sacred site to the west of his community.
Legend has it that during the Dreamtime - the mythical time of creation for the Aborigines - two rainmaking ancestors from the Jangala family called down rain with their songs, triggering an enormous storm.
The circle symbolising this mystical place also has the appearance of the eye of a cyclone.
