The 'Pippis' series revolves around a single motif reproduced by hand across the entire surface. The systematic gesture allows the shape of the motif to evolve with each repetition. The minerality of the tones suggests an impression of relief. Konstantina explains the importance of this symbol, which may seem insignificant, in her search for identity:

"The Gadigal people of Sydney lived on the water, for the water, and respected everything it had to offer, as a source of life! Pippis (small shellfish) are one of our sustainable sources of food and are more important today than ever, because through their excavations in shell pits from Bondi to Balmain, we are able to date and document the existence, travels and work of the Gadigal".
