Konstantina, whose real name is Kate Constantine, is a contemporary Aboriginal artist descended from the Gadigal people. Her work tells the true story of her people. She re-imagines the traditions of her people's painters and offers a modern narrative that enables all Australians to better understand that Aboriginal people are an integral part of the Australian fabric.

Her work represents her research and questioning of her roots and identity. Through her work, she hopes to make her voice heard, and above all those of Aboriginal communities. Through her work, she aims to inscribe herself in her own history, and above all to perpetuate and rebuild that of Aboriginal communities, who have had to face a multitude of assimilation policies from the Australian state over the decades.

The "Raining Series" interweaves lines of colour and dots. The acrylic interacts with the natural ochre, creating a materiality that contrasts with the image of the rainfall. This series fits in perfectly with her artistic approach, which is to explore the theme of identity through the world of nature. It represents her dreams, her worries, her anxieties, but also her joys.
