Betty Club Mbitjana's paintings are aerial views of women's ceremonies, depicting the watering holes (often in sacred places) where they take place.
A large part of the work is taken up by pairs of striped breasts that move forward as the woman dances, giving the work a great sense of movement. Sometimes there are motifs representing the seeds and bush plums that the women eat during the ceremony.
