Ronnie Tjampitjimpa depicts the sacred site of Walungurru (Kintore), where a varan Ancestor came to rest during the mythical Dreamtime. This legend is part of the Tingari cycle.
The Tingari, ancestral figures, travelled all over the Australian continent creating sites and ceremonies. Their journeys are described in numerous songs still used today for initiation.
