This work is divided into two panels, one reproducing birds (cranes brolga?) and the other kangaroo as well as a tree. Both have their funds decorated with rushes or rarrk, characteristic of the coastal regions of the Land of Arnhem, and possess a value both ritual and clan. These motifs sacralize the objects that are decorated with them and indicate their tribal origin. These codes were used to transmit the secrets of the Dream Time during religious ceremonies in which these objects were made. This symbol of the rarrk is still very lively today. These motifs can be found both on bark paintings and on bodies during ceremonies.
