Ningura is a major painter and one of the artists chosen to decorate the ceilings of the musée du quai Branly. Her zebra ceiling can be seen on the 1st floor of the building overlooking Rue de l'Université. Like other Aborigines forcibly regrouped in Papunya, Ningura was later able to settle 100 km away in Kintore, on her ancestral territory.
Ningura favors simple, clear motifs inspired by body painting, which she treats with a limited palette of black, red, ochre and white.

Here, she depicts an ancestral woman giving birth at a mythological watering hole.
