A major painter, Ningura is one of the artists chosen to decorate the ceilings of the musée du quai Branly. Her zebra ceiling can be seen on the 1st floor of the building overlooking the rue de l'Université.

Ningura has opted for simple, clear motifs inspired by body painting, using a limited palette of black, red, ochre and white. Here, she depicts an ancestral woman giving birth at a mythological watering hole. Ningura's work is particularly sensitive to its graphic and vibratory force.
