British-born Alastair McNaughton studied art before embarking on a career as an illustrator. His passion for photography led him to travel the world with his camera. After Africa and India, he arrived in Australia and spent two years living in the community of Coonana (Western Australia), where he took photographs illustrating scenes of everyday life and the characteristic landscapes of Coonana. He has since settled in Sydney, and in this shot he pays tribute to the city with its mythical Opera House and the bridge that crosses its bay.
