With this painting, Theo Hudson shows his version of the Dream of Pikilyi, a sacred site with a waterhole and stream, not far from Yuendumu.
Legend has it that a pair of Rainbow Serpents used to live there. Women would come to remove the lice attached to the bodies of the two mythical beings, in exchange for the right to take water from the stream.
