Konstantina is a contemporary Aboriginal artist of mixed heritage and descendant of the Gadigal people.

In the series ‘Wumera Nangamaye’ (Sky View/Dream), Konstantina represents the land, or Ngura, which is the lifeblood of her people. For her, it is the heart, soul and creator of culture. Ngura is the land, the animals, the water, the sky and the air, but it can also be the emotional feeling that aborigines experience when they are in the country or working to improve their people and their culture.

She is inspired by the work of professional photographers with whom she interacts on Instagram. Commissioned by governments or mining companies, these photographers are tasked with documenting and monitoring natural areas where industrial activity is being developed in order to verify the effects on the environment.
