Demain est annulé...
The challenge of the century. As we become increasingly aware of the fragility of our planet and that inaction is no longer an option, it's time to look at the issues individually and collectively to find practical solutions. One of them is sobriety. From 17 January, the EDF Group Foundation is fuelling the debate by entrusting this multi-faceted theme to the sensitive viewpoints of contemporary artists. The exhibition "Demain est annulé..., de l'art et des regards sur la sobriété" (Tomorrow is cancelled..., art and views on sobriety) explores some of the paths towards a sustainable world.Open to the general public, this ground-breaking exhibition has been jointly curated by a scientific and artistic team, and is spread over 550 m2 of renovated space. Installations, photographs, videos, paintings, music... 23 artists take visitors on a dreamlike and sometimes critical journey that, far from being prescriptive, provides food for thought about our relationship with sobriety. Visitors will be able to grasp the already real effects of climate change and explore the various ways of dealing with it. Is it possible to dream together of a more sober world? Can sobriety lead to a more harmonious and fairer society? Can it help
individuals to reconnect with others and with nature? Can technical innovation serve social, political and ecological progress? What new paths can we take? Visitors are free to follow their emotions, to ask questions and to reflect on their own experiences.
