Originally from Utopia in the Central Desert, Abie Loy here represents an "aerial" mental projection of her sacred territory associated with the "bush hen" Ancestor.
The clear blue-and-white circle at the center of the painting evokes both a watering hole where the ancestor drank, and the ceremonial site around which ancestral stories linked to the Dream of the Bush Hen, rituals reserved for women, are still celebrated today.
