Aboriginal painter Abie Loy depicts an "aerial" mental projection of her sacred territory associated with the "bush hen" Ancestor.
The clear blue and white circle at the center of the painting evokes both a watering hole where the ancestor drank, and the ceremonial site around which ancestral stories linked to the Dream of the Bush Hen, rituals reserved for women, are still celebrated today.
