The Aboriginal artist is celebrating the sacred watering hole of Ngaminya, located to the south-west of the community of Kiwirrkura. Legend has it that Great Ancestor women stopped off here to pick wild grapes, or 'kampurrarpa'.
The U-shapes represent these ancestors, as well as the women who still perform ceremonies to pay homage to them. The concentric circles symbolise water holes.
This work is provided with a certificate of authenticity.
