This canvas evokes a sacred site created in the Dreamtime by the mythical “Men-Tingari” who roamed the desert with their wives and their apprentices whom they initiated into the secrets of Creation.
The site in question represents waterholes seen from the sky, on either side an enigmatic labyrinth is formed where plots of clan territory are juxtaposed according to a mysterious system of ritual correspondences.
