Willy-Willy
13 February - 10 May 2025
The Willy-Willy* exhibition is an invitation to a breathtaking journey, as Aboriginal artists, Western Australian artists and Torres Strait Islander artists explore the theme of wind and the boundaries of the visible. Wind shapes not only landscapes, but also the imagination. ‘Willy-Willy’ captures the essence of this whirlwind, symbolising raw energy and the intimate link between nature and art.
*Willy-Willy/ wi.li.wi.li/ Common masculine noun
1 (Meteorology) A swirl of dry wind, formed in fine weather, which rotates and lifts dust or sand from the ground.
